Tetelestai is a word that only occurs within the Bible twice and both appearances can be found in John 19:28 and 19:30. The word is translated from Greek and means, "It is finished." It is the very last thing Jesus said before dying upon the cross and is an important word for Christians all over. It signifies many meanings. Jesus meant that it was finished in the past, it is still finished in the present, and that it will remain finished in the future. He completed the work that He set out to do, and it became the Savior's final cry of victory.
